A useful handoff answers three questions
- Did the shift meet the plan?
- What changed the result?
- What must the next shift do?
GENERATOR 04
Build a consistent handoff that tells the next team what happened, what matters and what needs attention.
Use facts before opinions. Name the equipment, product, time and impact when possible. Replace “machine had problems” with “Line 2 stopped for 18 minutes after the infeed sensor faulted.” Keep next-shift priorities specific enough that someone can act without finding you first.
